About Mérida Eats! Food Tours

Mérida’s Culinary Bonanza

Mérida has a rich variety of local cuisine. Did you know that there are more than 2,000 restaurants in Mérida?! How does one choose?!?  Fortunately, our tour designers have lived on calle 47 – now the heart of Mérida’s gastronomic corridor – for over 20 years. They have sampled hundreds of restaurants – and kept track! Thanks to their groundwork, Mérida Eats! can eliminate the guesswork.

Mérida Eats! Tours – “Best of the Barrio”

  • Tours take place in a particular barrio (neighborhood) of Mérida’s historic center
  • Each tour entails less than 1 kilometer of walking, in brief segments
  • You will visit three locally owned restaurants – selected for their excellent food and drink, top-notch service, and authentic ambiance – and sample about a dozen dishes and drinks
